About DJ Pistritto
In my early stages of childhood, I grew a strong passion for music and the creativeness that it takes to be in the music industry. I idolized all the biggest hip hop and R&B stars of my childhood and learned all about what is now my “go-to” music genre, 2000’s R&B. Like many others my age, this genre was the foundation of my love for music and struck a match in my heart for my passion for musical arts. Straight out of highschool, I worked for the biggest lighting company in the wedding industry fabricating beautiful wedding sets with all types of lighting. At this company, I learned how to provide uplighting for the whole wedding, ceremony & reception, while also pinspotting the center pieces of each table at the ceremony. We would finish up with any special touches such as projection gobos with the couple names or draping for the wedding ceremony. While working as a lighting technician, I was constantly communicating with the DJ’s and this was the kick-start to my love for mixing music.
